Dogs
The dog is a carnivorous mammal that comes from the family Canidae. The ancestors are <reg>Jackals</reg> and Wolves are much like wild dogs today.
The first <reg>domesticated</reg> dog was over 10,000 yrs ago. On the case the wild dog generally live and hunt in packs. They <reg>relying</reg>
While both have long legs, Sharp teeth, strong jaw with their acute hearing is <reg>excellent</reg> for catching prey.

Animal Care interview
Animal Care is <sic>a</sic> animal rescue centre just over the motorway bridge. On the 28th of May I went up and talked to <sic>the</sic> Val the lady who runs Animal Care and this is what she had to say …………………
We get about 356 dogs a year.
We home all the dogs.
A mix of dry food and some meaty chunks.
Judy a Borzer de flanders the size of a giant Schnauzer.

At Christmas and the summer holidays when people go on holiday and kick the dogs out.

Chihuahua
The Chihuahua is the <reg>smallest</reg> breed of dog at 15cm or 10in in <reg>height</reg>. Developed in the USA from a <reg>Mexican</reg> background, the small dog may only weigh 1kg or 22lb with a domed head and wide-set ears as its characteristics. The skull is big <reg>compared</reg> to the size of the body. <reg>The</reg> Chihuahua can <NOTE desc="word/s missing?"> almost any colour, and <reg>occurs</reg> in very smooth, long-haired or even hairless varieties.

German Shepherd
The German <reg>Shepherd</reg> is also known as the <reg>Alsatian</reg>. <reg>The</reg> German <reg>Shepherd</reg> is about 63cm/25in tall with a wolf like look with a thick coat and many colourings, and a distinctive gait. <s>the dog is used for police work because of its <reg>courage</reg> and high <reg>intelligence</reg> They came from Germany into <reg>Britain</reg> and the U.S.A after the 1st world war.
The police work the German <reg>Shepherd</reg> can be <reg>sniffing</reg> out drugs

King Charles Spaniel
A King Charles Spaniel is a breed of toy dog. It got its name off King Charles the 1st who favoured the dog. <reg>Its characteristics</reg> are the domed head and <sic>a</sic> up-turned muzzle. Cocker Spaniel
The Cocker Spaniel is a small gun-dog developed in Britain for Woodcock. When <reg>standing</reg> it’s about 40cm/15in tall and weighs about 14kg/30lb. The American cocker is recognized for it’s <reg>distinct</reg> from the English breed <reg>although they</reg> both have long, dense coat, which may be one colour (red, gold, black) or bi-coloured (black and white). The Cocker Spaniel does police work at the airport like finding drugs and animal skins.
According to a study the Cocker Spaniel is the most playful and <reg>easiest</reg> to train.
