The plastic has a design of fine diagonal ridged lines over the inner surface; these lines are visible through the smooth outer cover; they can’t be felt from the outside, but they give the inner surface a rough, ridged texture. The binder is unmarked and appears to be brand new. The pages consist of plain white A4 sheets, with work on just one side of the paper; they are not protected in any way.
Apart from the page numbers, the writing is all wordprocessed and there is a computer produced drawing on one page. A colour printer has been used –different coloured inks have been used to highlight titles and some other parts of the text (paler colours, such as the yellow, may not be clear on the scan). The page numbers have been written by hand in fine black felt tip; some have been corrected, using tippex, indicating alteration to intial sequencing; the numbers in the previous draft were written in blue biro; on some pages, the black felt tip may not be clear, as it has not always taken very well on top of the tippex.
There are some imported materials: almost all the pages contain magazine/newspaper cuttings (thinnish paper), carefully cut out and stuck down firmly with glue (some of the pages are puckered, from the glue); two pages contain glossy photos, stuck rather less firmly, with blobs of glue at the edges. Apart from slight damage arising from the glueing process, the project as a whole is in pretty good condition, giving the impression that it has been carefully handled.
page 1 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (title page)
The title is partly wordprocessed and partly a cut and paste. The individual letters of the wordprocessed part of the title are printed in different colours; this may not be clear on the scan. The top cutting (containing the rest of the title) is one of only three cuttings which have not been cut out as rectangles.
page 2 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (contents page)
The individual letters of the title are printed in different colours; this may not be clear on the scan.
page 3 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 1) -
The cutting at the bottom is one of only three which have not been cut out as rectangles.
page 4 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page2)
The individual letters of the title are printed in different colours; this may not be clear on the scan. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 1.
page 5 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page3)
The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 2.
page 6 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 4)
Each word of the title is printed in a different colour: black and blue; this may not be clear in the scan. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 7. There are glue marks around the cutting, bottom right.
page 7 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 5)
Alternating colours are used for the letters of the title and some other words; this may not be clear in the scan. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 4. There are glue marks around the cuttings, bottom right, and it looks as if some other paper has been stuck to the surface, and torn off.
page 8 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 6)
Alternating colours are used for the letters of the title and some other words; this may not be clear in the scan. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 5.
page 9 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] -
page 10 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 8)
Black streaky marks indicate a printing problem. The page number has been rewritten in black felt tip over the blue biro.
page 11 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 9)
The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 6.
page 12 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 10)
The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 3.
page 13 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] -
page 14 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 12)
The individual letters of the title are printed in different colours; this may not be clear on the scan. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 11.
page 15 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 13)
Alternating colours are used for the letters of the title and some other words; this may not be clear in the scan. There are four separate cuttings here; the one in the centre at the bottom overlaps the others slightly. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 15.
page 16 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 14)
The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 12.
page 17 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 15)
The two cuttings at the top are slightly torn.
page 18 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 16)
The yellow print used for the title and some other words may not be clear on the scan. The cutting on the left is one of only three which have not been cut out as rectangles. The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page14.
page 19 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 17)
The page number has been tippexed out and altered; it was previously page 13.
page 20 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 18)
The drawing on this page is computer produced and printed in black, brown, blue and a yellowy cream. (It is NOT a cutting!)
page 21 [ next page ] [ previous page ] [ top ] [ JJ62 index ] (child’s page 19)
This page contain a photo, stuck down with blobs of glue at the corners (less firmly than the cuttings)
