                                                                      and its beautiful series of twelve early
                                                                      capitals - probably once carrying simple
                                                                      round arches with  a 2 . [?]  have now classical
                                                                      arches with gilded architraves.
                                                                        This profile & truncations above.
                                                                      The effect is still good, from their long line
                                                                      
                                                                      Twelve arches on each side up the nave.
