12th House
Leaves on this cornice between At the Ramo dell Ambasciatore
windows, not on B. Very like 11th in general plan.
This house is the beautiful brown one in
daguerreotype with small house beyond: It 1 One at side, of type a A f but and of section
has two statues between its top story windows a. with roll cabled. and with leaves at
which are bad renaissance. but curiously 2 the dotted points. In the centre of [diagram] are
enough has on their brackets the little bracket angle in Sq holds a shield with three lions
moulding characteristic of this house. on its bar oblique. and charged with [diagram]
while two kneeling supporters seen carrying
The finial is rich in feeling but bluntly cut, as 3 an acorn each.
If either early or late. There is a leaf at apex of coll Angle cabled. nearly as last house with same
base shaft: But its cornices very singular.

First story 4 central windows. Exactly
as in last house. only the roses are larger and
ill cut. and lap over the triangle edges
and the lions heads are barbarous & look

on last page is indeed as D. opposite. [query?]
Early occurrence of flower band
Pilasters Kp. Two windows on each
side sixth order: Sq: Pilasters Kp.- arch
moulding C: but unusually bold in the roll
in the great moulding: and I suspect that [continues on p. 15]
