Note opposite. the steep angle of the brick
of the jamb: and archivolt between 45 and
90. while the shaft is of course chamfered
at 75. The cusp filleted & trefoiled - giving
an English look to foliation: But always
delicately: In modern restorations the fillet
is always clumsily deep.

but was beautifully sharp in shadow and black
staining
