                                                                      		breast leaves carrying the figures, wave alternately to the

                                                                      		The Point contact of the leaves, and their concave to convex
                                                                      		flow are most graceful:  Their leaf bands sharp and lovely,
                                                                      		Their cutting simple - masculine;  and effective.  Every way
                                                                      		right:  not likely to be broken off as the more elaborate
                                                                      		leafage and beautifully Proutian in effect of line.
Their ribs are perhaps the most succulent of all.                     		They are on the whole, the best of the palace except the
                                                                      		lovely sea angle.
                                                                      	The 7th, 9th, 10th 12th 21st are all on this plan, hardly

the 33rd, as a subject of comparison.                                 	The 29th is a copy of it by the Bon school and most
                                                                      		instructive in its inferiority.  The main plan being kept
                                                                      		the ribs are fined down, and therefore do not tell in effect
                                                                      		upon the eye;  they look half washed out;  the lobes are
                                                                      		confused in their lie, and very poor:  and the angle leaves
                                                                      		have a recess instead of a rib at the bottom: x   Then the
                                                                      		Bon leaves have a less certain outline;  are more softly
                                                                      		modulated and are a little undercut so as to have only
                                                                      		their edges visible:  now in the early ones, the edge is
                                                                      		even cut a little up;  so as to be seen from below and
                                                                      		like the light strongly showing the outline.  The ribs are
                                                                      		clumsily thick - near, but they are well seen where they
