These mouldings[,] considering their great width are remark-
able for their want of depth: - they are truly given in
No 40 In No 42 A is section below cpital B above capital
C. of capital itself of the window No 40 all the rolls
being cabled. Note the larger cavette and levels at its
side in the upper section and the singular oblique
out of the wavy look of both, from the line x y not
being parallel with wall. Note a b produced would
be the wall line: it corresponds with c d above; d2 is
of course the double dentil of the door.
No 42 Fig 3 D E F are the capital - capital section, and rib of capital
leaf section, of the 10th palace, p 12 House book, u. r.
- this seems to me a most precious capital.

The dotted line is the section of the cabled shafts, of
angle shaft of houses, No 11 p 13 u r and note that in
this kind of window, the cusp does not melt into arch, as
in Danieli’s but has an order to itself. It is interesting
to compare the two sections as opposite. A & B : the dottd
lines being abacus head in both, and the line b in both
marking the moulding at its fall on abacus.
No 44. Apse of the Church of San Greg[h]orio; with its
San Gregorio all worked with the section A opoosite - at least
I cannot be absolutely certain as it was high above
the eye, it might be as B. but this not likely from the
sharpness of the line within the
