                                                                      imagine the moulding to have slipped outside of

                                                                      This plinth, the uppermost - on the top of the pier
                                                                      small shafts, I found on the Carta shaft A.
                                                                      3  “  3: along its under side, & 3  “  5 to 3  “  6. its
                                                                      extreme outer edge: towards sea.
                                                                      A vertical from this exterior upper outer edge
                                                                      to the lowest fillet + of capitals is about
                                                                      1  “ 9. of which the abacus itself is some
                                                                      5 inches.
                                                                      And from this lowest fillet the height of
                                                                      the shaft to the base fillet is 6  “ 2. and
                                                                      to the basic roll. 6  “ 4 ½
