The Palazzo Trevisan-Capello, situated on the Rio del Palazzo in the Venetian sestiere of Castello. Built in the sixteenth century, it was the home of Bianca Capello, wife of Francesco d'Medici. There is good marble inlay in the façade, hence Ruskin 's coupling of it in this context with the Palazzo Dario. Ruskin illustrates and describes this encrustation in the first volume of The Stones of Venice, ( Works, 9.33, 425-6). Ruskin compares Canaletto 's rendering of the building unfavourably with the building's reality.
