Further Comments: Athough Ruskin does not specify a particular academy picture by Stanfield, he suggests that the foreground of his academy pictures are too crowded and cluttered, and thus he may have been thinking of this London scene. The oil painting was engraved by T.A. Prior for the 'Art Journal' in 1858.
Collection: The Royal Collection, UK
