Saddleback (also known as Blencathra) is a hill which rises to 2847 feet. Part of the Skiddaw range, it is located in the Lake District of Northern England, near Keswick, and is named for its distinctive shape. Ruskin uses it as an example of the geomorphological formation which results from the weathering of soft rock by the action of fast-running water.
