Saltash, Cornwall

Engraved by Smith after Turner. ( England and Wales. Rawlinson 218. Wilton 794.)

In The Harbours of England (1856) Ruskin describes this as 'an inferior work' ( Works, 13.48). He also refers to it as an example of Turner 's dislike 'to draw complete rigging' on a ship ( Works, 13.59).
