Lupton's facsimiles of Liber plates

During 1858-64, Lupton began a project of engraving facsimiles of plates from the Liber Studiorum. Twelve were completed and were described by Ruskin as 'good and serviceable' ( Works, 15.217). Lupton dedicated the series to Ruskin, but the project fell through and the plates remained unissued ( Works, 16.428).
