Annemiek NelisAnnemiek Nelis obtained her masters degree in Health Science from the University of Maastricht , the Netherlands. Her PhD thesis, which was supervised by Prof. Arie Rip, deals with the entrenchment of DNA diagnostic tests in the Dutch Health Care system. After her Ph.D she worked as a research fellow at the Science and Technology Studies Unit (SATSU) of Andrew Webster in Cambridge (UK) and as lecturer at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and of the University of Amsterdam. From 1999 till 2004 she has been coordinator of the Dutch Ph.D network'Science, Technology and Modern Culture' (WTMC). Since September 2004 she has been deputy director of the Centre for Society and Genomics at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Her current research focuses on issues of democracy, public participation and innovation. < Back to list of Editorial Board Members
