Sarah ParryAfter completing a PhD in the Science Studies Unit, University of Edinburgh, Sarah joined Sociology as a lecturer in 2003. This post is directly affiliated with the ESRC centre for Social and Economic Research on Innovation in Genomics (Innogen). Focussing on both specialists and non-specialists views, Sarah's work looks at the social and cultural dimensions of developments in stem cell research and cloning. She is currently working on a three-year project funded by the ESRC/BBSRC "The Social Dynamics of Public Engagement in Stem Cell Research" (with Sarah Cunningham-Burley, Public Health Sciences, Wendy Faulkner, Science Studies Unit and Austin Smith, Institute for Stem Cell Research). This work explores the views of different social groups and critically investigates the scope for public engagement in stem cell research.
