Our Fundraising Team

At Defying Dementia we are very lucky to have an ever increasing band of energetic and passionate volunteer fundraisers. Over 140 volunteer fundraisers have organised a number of activities to help generate vital funds for the campaign and raise the profile of great work we are doing.

Find out more information about some of our brilliant volunteer fundraisers below.

The Defying Dementia shop

The Defying Dementia shop is ran by long-term Defying Dementia support Linda Warrington and her family. The shop is on Church Street in Lancaster town centre and acts as a focal point for the charity in the community. As well as selling items generously donated by supporters, the shop also has the facilities to host small community events and acts as an information hub for those dealing with the disease. All of the proceeds raised by the shop will be donated directly towards the work undertaken by the research team at Lancaster University.
