In 2017 we launched our College 1000 fundraising campaign to engage alumni to donate to their College; as we enter the third year of this campaign to attract 1000 donors to Lancaster’s Colleges we would like to say a big thank you to those alumni who have donated so far. Of the money that is raised during the campaign, half will be used to support Colleges and the other half will provide much needed scholarships for those students in greatest need. Each College has decided how to allocate their College 1000 donations depending on the specific needs of their students; some examples are:

· Travel grants

· College scholarships

· Support for sports teams

· Support for students undertaking unpaid internships

· Support for students to attend job interviews

We are pleased that we continue to welcome new members to the College 1000, with the number of donors almost doubling over the last 12 months; as you can see below, the race is well and truly on!

During the last 12 months, we have spoken to over 3,500 Lancaster alumni from across our nine Colleges. Currently our campaign has 382 donors, meaning that we remain on track to achieve our target of 1000 donors across our nine colleges by 2022.

We are already seeing the ways that philanthropic donations can change lives here at Lancaster, thanks to everyone who has donated to the College 1000 to support our students.
