Dr Daniel Alves is the Director of the Digital Humanties Lab at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. He is also an Assistant Professor within the History Department in the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH) and a researcher in the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC).

Professor Ian Gregory is Co-Director of the Lancaster Centre for Digital Humanities at Lancaster University. As a result of the growth of Digital Humanities, Ian has become particularly interested in using GIS with texts as well as the more traditional quantitative sources.

Patricia is Co-Director of the Lancaster Centre for Digital Humanities at Lancaster University. Originally an archaeologist, her interest lies in the application of technologies for Humanities and her primary research area is the Spatial Humanities. Her main focus is the investigation of different aspects of space, place and time using a range of technologies including GIS, NLP, Machine Learning and Corpus Linguistics approaches.
