Professor Elvira Fortunato from NOVA University Lisbon is the winner of the “Portugal's Women's Leadership Award"


Professor Elvira Fortunato, Pro-Vice-Chancellor at NOVA University Lisbon, is this year’s recipient of the “Portugal's Women's Leadership Award”.

This prestigious international award aims to distinguish women around the world who stand out in different areas of activity. In Portugal, the choice fell on Elvira Fortunato in recognition of her pioneering contributions as a word-leading scientist in nanotechnology and as Pro-Vice-Chancellor in the area of ​​Science and Technology.

The prize was awarded on October 29, 2021, as part of the "Global Summit of Women", which took in place in Lisbon. The event was organized by The Globe Women Research and Education Institute.
