2022 UK Conference is open to all undergraduates study at Lancaster University, Partner Institutions and Study Abroad UGs. It will take place online via Teams between 15th - 17th March 2022.

Application to present a webpage presentation & live session at the 2022 Undergraduate Research Conference 15th - 17th March 2022

Applications are welcome from all 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students participating on a Lancaster University course from across the Teaching Partnerships, and Study Abroad.

The link below takes you to a LibCal form to complete. Your presentation will be in the form of an online webpage, containing images and text in a poster-style or storyboard, in addition to speaking at a live question and answers session during the conference.

Please ensure you have read the information on the Undergraduate Research Conference website and discussed your application and abstract to your supervisor or tutor before you apply.

What happens next?

The closing date for application is Monday 17th January at 9am. The system will not allow you to submit after this time.

Please use your official University email to register. Once you have submitted your application you will receive an automatic email confirmation. Please check that you do and contact the conference email (below) if you do not. This is a competitive process, so your application will be reviewed by academics from your discipline.

You will be notified of the outcome the week beginning 31st January. If you are successful you will be sent additional information on how to create your presentation within the UG Conference website. You will automatically be registered on the conference.

When you register for the conference we collect personal information from you such as your university contact details, your institution and department of study. We will use this information for conference administration and the statistics derived from it for marketing and publicity. We do not and will not share or sell any of your personal information to anyone outside of Lancaster University including third parties, unless required to do so by law. Your information will be securely stored within Lancaster University’s systems and will be retained for 1 year. You have certain rights regarding your own personal data, please refer to the Student Privacy Notice and the Rights of the Data Subject webpage for further details. It is your responsibility to make yourself aware of and understand the Privacy Notice.

Additional notice for presenters:

During the conference, 15th-17th March 2022 the conference presentation is be accessible to Lancaster University Partners students and staff only. Following the close of the conference, the main presentation website will become an open public site for 2 years. This opening of the website allows your work to be accessible to the public audience and for you to gain full recognition for your work. Only the Conference Presentation Site will be made public, none of the comments, conversation or discussion undertaken during any part of the conference week will be made public. If you do not wish your presentation to be made public, please contact the conference organisers, who will remove it prior to opening the website.
