A two-day workshop for small and medium-sized businesses and social enterprises which wish to respond to opportunities in the health and wellbeing sector. Day 1: Wednesday 22 January 2020 - Day 2: Thursday 30 January 2020

Innovation in health is everybody's business.

Whether you are small or medium-sized business working in a different sector, a leader of a charity or a GP who wants to do things differently - everyone has something to contribute.

Join the team behind Lancaster University's new Health Innovation Campus and ensure your innovative ideas succeed by asking the right questions at the start of the journey.

Using a methodology called 'Design Thinking' you will learn to put yourself into the shoes of the person whose problem you are trying to solve and you will leave with a toolkit enabling you to do things differently in your organisation, with immediate impact. You will also learn to use collaborations with colleagues outside of your organisation as a competitive advantage.

During the workshop you will be tasked with working on local health challenges, designed to help you to utilise open innovation and expand your business capability.

Workshop benefits:

  • Be inspired, challenged and motivated to innovate
  • Identify opportunities for new innovative business models for the health sector
  • Learn to apply the structured process of design thinking to product development
  • Learn to use new tools which will lead to improved business performance
