Schools are invited to hold an essay competition for their Modern Languages A-level students and to submit one essay for consideration for the Lancaster University Modern Languages Schools Essay Prize.
The topic for this year is ‘Languages and Nation’, which students may interpret as freely as they wish.
Essays should be written in French, German or Spanish. Essays should be no longer than 500 words long and should include a bibliography (not included in the word count). The deadline for receipt of essays is 5pm on Monday 20 November 2017.
The student’s name and school should be clearly indicated at the top of the essay.
A prize of a £100 book voucher will be awarded to the best essay, judged by a panel of academics from the Department of Languages and Cultures. There are also two runners up prizes of £25 book vouchers. For further information please download the poster in the link below or email email@example.com.
