After a grand success of our inaugural conference on ‘Law and Social Transformation’, we are happy to announce that we will be organizing an international conference on the broad theme ‘Law and Justice’.

It is believed that law acts as a powerful tool for social change. In today’s world, most aspects of human behaviour are regulated by legal rules and principles. From policies affecting the poor to regulating economic and political agendas between powerful nations, law plays an important role in shaping the future for coming generations. However, in the context of changing socio-political scenarios around the world, there is a need to re-evaluate our understanding of applicability of legal rules that can bring about real change and provide opportunity for the betterment of everyone. The question of how to apply ‘law’ is now once again open for debate and we intend to discuss it from broad perspectives.

Lancaster University Law School invites proposals for individual contributions under the broad theme of ‘Law and Justice’.

A registration fee of £20 will include lunch and refreshments.
