The Committee promotes equality, diversity and inclusion across legal academia, and has an overarching aspiration to ensure that legal academia is a profession representative of all and for all. Professor Fovargue has a long-standing interest in EDI matters, having been Lancaster University Law School's EDI Officer for over a decade and she was a member of the School's Athena SWAN team. She is a member of Lancaster University’s Disabled Employee Group, Inclusive Learning Group, Lancaster Women’s Network, and Decolonising Lancaster University.
