Workshop series: become a better writer
In the Lent term, the library is running a series of English language workshops for academic writing, called Become a better writer.The workshops will be particularly useful for students whose first language is not English. They are open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to develop the accuracy and style of their writing. They cover topics such as 'developing your academic vocabulary', 'academic style' and 'grammar tips for academic writing'. All of the sessions are stand-alone, so you can sign up for the ones that are most relevant to you. We look forward to meeting you there!
One-to-one English language advice for academic writing
The learning developer for EAP (English for Academic Purposes) offers one-to-one consultations providing English language advice for academic writing. Each consultation is 30 minutes long, and students can bring along a piece of writing to focus on in the session.
You can book a 30-minute session between 10am and 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time. The consultations take place in the learning zone, pod 3. To book, select the workshops tab above.
