Colleagues are invited to attend a public engagement workshop on Monday 10 June, 1-3pm, to share your experiences of engaging with the public and feed in your ideas to inform the University’s approach to supporting public engagement.
With the University’s engagement strategy under development, and Public and Community Engagement identified as one of seven areas which will be reported on via the Knowledge Exchange Framework, we are keen to ensure that the support provided for public engagement evolves to meet the needs of academic staff and our communities; and that the impact of and time invested in public engagement is effectively captured, valued and recognised.
Opening with an update from Professor Dame Sue Black, the workshop will explore a number of questions:
- Why is public engagement important?
- What public engagement activities do you undertake and what do they achieve?
- How do you measure the impact of your public engagement? What data do you capture? How do you report it?
- How can we best support public engagement?
- What does great public engagement look like?
All members of staff with an interest in public engagement are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
Please book your place on Eventbrite
Please note that this event is restricted to 50 people.
