{"id":2755,"date":"2012-11-01T16:43:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-01T16:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/lec\/sites\/catchmentchange\/?p=2755"},"modified":"2019-05-01T13:47:59","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T13:47:59","slug":"policy-placement-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/lec\/sites\/catchmentchange\/news\/policy-placement-opportunity\/","title":{"rendered":"Policy Placement Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Planning for floods and droughts in the face of climate change \u2013 a continuum approach NERC and Environment Agency Policy Placement Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closing date: Tuesday, 13th of November 2012<\/p>\n<p>The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) research programmes \u2018UK Droughts and Water Scarcity\u2019, \u2018Flooding from Intense Rainfall\u2019 and the Environment Agency (EA) welcome applications for a Policy Placement Fellow to undertake work considering integrated approaches to managing floods and droughts in a changing climate. This includes both physical measures to manage extremes as well as human responses to coping during events.<\/p>\n<p>The 18 month part-time placement (60%) will be based at EA.
