Welcome to the Library

As Director of Library Services & Learning Development I am delighted to welcome you to Lancaster University Library on behalf of all of us who work in the library.

Our ambition is to be a library that sits at the heart of Lancaster University’s community both local and global and we welcome everyone in our community to our library spaces – be they physical or digital. This is your library, and we want to make sure we help you get the best from it.

If you want support for your learning, access to resources, or just somewhere to work in a group or on your own, we are always here for you, whenever you need us.

We offer a blended library where the physical and the digital meet, we have a beautiful building offering a range of spaces and services, while our digital collections allow you to access the library wherever you are.

Although our resources are here primarily to support the strategic ambitions of the University and its community, we welcome members of the public into our building to access print resources and attend events and exhibitions.

If you want to know more about what we do, or if you have any comments, feedback or suggestions, please do get in touch – we want to hear from you.

I wish you all the success during your time as a part of the Lancaster University Library community.
