Library study space

Many of the study spaces in the Library can be booked in advance to help you plan your visit. This page has important information about booking space and studying in the Library.

When booking a study space please be aware:

  • Bookings may be made by Lancaster University students and staff only
  • You may book up to 3 hours of study space
  • When selecting study space to book, click on 'info' links for an image of the study space and details of its location
  • The confirmation email you receive for a booking will contain details about the space and a check-in code. Bring this with you when you visit.

When visiting the library:

  • Bring your University card when visiting the Library.
  • Wash or sanitise your hands regularly.
  • Taps are available for refilling water bottles and lidded hot drinks
  • When arriving to study check in using the booking code you received, and check out when you leave
  • Please clean your study space before and after use, cleaning materials are available nearby.

A range of types of individual study space are available in the library.

All spaces meet social distancing guidelines and cleaning facilities are provided nearby.

Study spaces are bookable for up to 3 hours at a time.

Book group study space

There are group study spaces on each floor of the Library. 

The number of people permitted in group study rooms has been reduced to enable social distancing.

Group study spaces can be booked for up to 9 hours per week.
