Studying at University

Studying in higher education may be very different from what you have been used to, whether you have come from school, college, home or employment.

You may be returning to part-time study after a break, or have started your journey in a different academic culture.

Make a start with the interactive resource Learning at University. This will take you about 10 minutes to complete and will give you a flavour of what to expect.

Once at Lancaster University you will find a range of study support available to you, particularly in your department, but also through your Learning Development team.

Explore the Learning Development pages to find out what is on offer.

You can also explore online materials to help you to learn independently.

If English is not your first language, go to our English Language Development page, where you can keep up-to-date with the available workshops and enrol on the Moodle site once you have your University log-in details.

Do also take a look at our Learning Development Study Blog, which is full of tips and advice from current students.
