Please join us in the library for an in person Disabled Employees Network event - open to DEN members, potential members, and allies looking to learn more (LU staff only). We are joined by a speaker who will deliver an hour's workshop, details below, and there will be free drinks and snacks.
Neurodivergent (adult) play, Andrew Walsh (https://playbrarian.uk):
We'll use collage to gently and playfully explore some ways in which different groups of neurodivergent adults might prefer to play and talk a little about how play is often presented using neurotypical framings. The session will be informed by research by the facilitator with a range of neurodivergent adults who talked about their play preferences and experiences. Andrew is Autistic, ADHD, and often uses a Playful Learning approach with adult learners. He's also co-chair of the Playful Learning Association.
