The Department of Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster University has been ranked 5th in the country in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 subject rankings.
Earlier in the year Linguistics at Lancaster was ranked ranked 6th in the UK in the 2017 Complete University Guide, whilst in the World University Rankings Linguistics is ranked very highly, 15th in the world in the 2016 QS World University rankings by subject.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 provides the most comprehensive overview of higher education in Britain. It includes an analysis of student satisfaction with the quality of the teaching at each institution. A fully searchable website with full university profiles and 67 subject tables will be published for subscribers to The Times and The Sunday Times.
Lancaster University as a whole has climbed to 9th position in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017, to achieve its elite target of top ten positions in all the UK’s major university league tables. Lancaster also ranks 9th in the Complete University Guide and 8th in the Guardian.
