Julia Gillen is co-chairing a conference Reconceptualising Early Childhood Literacies: an international conference in Manchester 7-8 March.
This exciting conference will bring together researchers from across the world who are interested in the ways in which early childhood literacies are being transformed in the twenty-first century. Keynote speakers will present creative approaches to today’s challenges that include rapid developments in digital technologies and increasing standardisation in early childhood curricula.
The conference is associated with the EU COST Programme DigiLitEY, in which Julia leads a research strand, “A Day in the Digital Lives of children aged 0-3” and is on the management committee. Julia co-edits the Journal of Early Childhood Literacy which is sponsoring the conference.
