The Conversation has published an article by Claire Nance about the benefits of Gaelic Medium Education in the Outer Hebrides. This was partly in response to a member of the Scottish parliament commenting on the fact that teaching children in Gaelic might actually harm the child’s education overall. Claire was the ideal person to write the article having done extensive research in Gaelic Medium Education schools and their communities.
