Taking place on the 16th April, this 1hr webinar will introduce how Problem Based Learning (PBL) is used at Lancaster Medical School. Attendees will be able to explore and begin analysing a real PBL scenario and find out how this is used to stimulate learning across the breadth of subjects covered at Medical School.

After registering at the link above, participants should ensure that they have read the PBL Scenario and completed the pre-knowledge questionnaire.
Problem-based Learning
Our medicine degree is delivered through problem-based learning (PBL), lectures and clinical anatomy teaching. PBL is a form of small group learning where, in groups of 7 or 8, you will explore realistic patient-based scenarios that resemble the clinical situations you may face in the future as a doctor.
Early Patient Contact
Your first clinical contact will happen in Year 1 when you will meet patients in general practice under the supervision of a tutor. In Year 2, you will spend two days per week on hospital placement and one day per week engaged in community-related activities, including a GP placement.
