How to apply
Our aim is to make the application process as simple and efficient as possible for you. With this in mind, we would encourage you to apply online.
Should you be applying for a specifically funded post your application will be passed on to the supervisor concerned. If you are not awarded a funded post or wish to work with a team that has no studentship available currently you may still apply to the University for provisional acceptance. Armed with a University provisional acceptance letter you may start to try and find a sponsor and possibly think about scholarship applications.
Lancaster is a multi-cultural institution and we welcome applications from international students.
If you are an overseas applicant, the deadline for submitting your application to a postgraduate programme commencing in October is in mid-August – later submission leaves insufficient time for us to be able to make a decision in time for you to apply for, and obtain, a visa before the start of the programme.
Applications from overseas candidates for postgraduate programmes with later or flexible start dates will continue to be accepted.
If you wish to make an application or seek any further information, we will be happy to help.
