Using new technology to transform professional service firms.
About Design Sprints
Building on the work of the NextGenPSF project, Lancaster University and Oxford Brookes University are offering a limited number of spaces on their Design Sprint masterclasses, taking a structured approach to supporting legal and accountancy firms that will help to address and overcome firm-level challenges to implement AI technologies.
The workshops will engage a range of PSF leaders, introducing them to the outcomes and impact of the design sprint approach and provide an opportunity to work deeper with the research team to develop implementable action plans.
Sign up for a workshop below, or let us work with you to design a firm-specific version for in-house training. Bespoke consultancy support is available to include full development planning workshop and implementation support.

The Masterclasses will provide leaders of professional service firms (managing partners, chief operating officers, practice group leaders, innovation managers/champions, heads of business services) with insights into the opportunities and challenges that firms face as part of future strategy planning. The Masterclass will focus on how technology can enable next-generation professional service firm management and services.
Get to hear from leading academic experts and benefit from the insights of a £1.2m three-year research project studying how professional service firms can be transformed using new technology. Get to work with peers from other professional service firms to understand shared challenges and to position your firm against those in the same and other sectors.

The Masterclass is highly interactive and includes short talks on state-of-the-art approaches to leading the digital transformation of professional service firms, and breakout sessions focusing on key considerations in the design and development of next-generation service.
The masterclass is organised around four key themes:

- Next-generation professionals service firm transformations – what are the opportunities and how ready is your firm?
- Future scenarios – what will the future of professional service look like in five years and how will your firm respond?
- Delivering change – how will your firm move from design to delivery and turn ideas into reality?
The masterclass is run by leading academic experts from the Next Generation Professional Service Firm project team. These experts are also available for in-house consultancy projects in this area.
