50 years of Organisation, Work and Technology

This year we are commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Department of Organisation, Work and Technology (OWT). The Department has been hosting various celebratory seminars, workshops and lectures to reflect on the past 50 years of achievements and to look forward to the Department's future developments.

As part of this series, OWT and the British Academy of Management held an Interdisciplinary Research in International Business (IB) and International Management (IM) event, at Lancaster University Management School, on the 20th May.

The workshop focused on how interdisciplinary research plays a significant role in the international business and international management field. Attendees explored how IB/IM scholars can successfully engage more broadly within the business and management community through interdisciplinary research, providing an excellent opportunity for both academics and non-academics to collaborate.

Professor James Faulconbridge, Head of the Department of Organisation, Work and Technology, said "We were delighted to jointly host this one-day event on interdisciplinary research in international business and management with British Academy of Management. The theme of this event reflects well the critical interdisciplinary approach to research taken by members of the Department of Organisation, Work and Technology and the event is part of the series celebrating 50 years since the Department's establishment."
