Burnside rings for profinite groups

This meeting will tie in with our previous group meeting on Mackey functors for profinite groups, and shall focus on the generalisation of Burnside rings from finite to profinite groups and their applications in representation theory in particular.

All talks will take place in A54 Lecture Theatre, Postgraduate Statistics Centre, Lancaster University. The timetable is as follows:

  • 3:10pm-3:40pm: Veronica Kelsey (St Andrews)
  • 3:50pm-4:50pm: Serge Bouc (Amiens)

The FCG Research Group is supported by an LMS Joint Research Groups in the UK Scheme 3 grant. Limited funding is available for PhD students, allocated on a first come first served basis.
