Debs welcomed the budding chefs to the kitchen, handed out Clasp <em>Making Cards,<\/em> and had the thankless task of asking each parent to fill <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/myclasp\/resources\/#collapse2\">informed consent forms<\/a>. All then proceeded through the following four stations:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Concept Station<\/strong> (stationed by MAF, blue table); the rapidly prototyped &#8216;Idea Catcher&#8217; was here presented as an example of &#8216;not-so-distant-future&#8217; bespoke health tech device. Concepts of modularity, eco-sensitive materials, and the side effects of tech\u00a0 as &#8216;med&#8217; were also introduced.<br \/>\n<strong>2. Materials Station<\/strong> (Steve, green table); the raw tech components were introduced and displayed in three spice racks including: (a) &#8216;bio materials&#8217; such as corn starch and glycerol mixes, (b) electronic sensors and sensor \u2018mimics\u2019, the latter being fictional electronic bits with infinite sensing powers, and (c) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/myclasp\/moodcons\/\">Data Moodcons<\/a>, 3D Printed &#8216;data units&#8217;.<br \/>\n<strong>3. Making\u00a0 Station<\/strong> (Adrian and Will, white table); this was the &#8216;baking&#8217; station where ingredients such as play-doh, sensor mimics, pipe cleaners and Moodcons where used to make sensing technologies. Each prototype was photographed using an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lg.com\/uk\/mobile-phone-accessories\/lg-PD233-pocket-photo\" target=\"_blank\">LG pocket photo cameras<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>4. Photobooth<\/strong> (Rob &amp; Dan from <a href=\"http:\/\/ourus.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ourus<\/a>), the children explained their artefacts to Ourus video makers. Debbie, Adrian, Will and MAF,\u00a0 were in attendance, joined by Faisal T., fellow researcher at School of Computing usually found in InfoLab21 &#8216;dungeons&#8217; (Making lab). Faisal works in<a href=\"http:\/\/faisaltaher.com\/videos\/EMERGEinteractions.mp4\" target=\"_blank\"> shape-changing displays<\/a> with several others at Lancaster University. We discussed relevance of his research to ours in relation to physical interactions with data, more to follow. The session was organised as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. INTRO<\/strong> Clasp is about making affordable, personalised, responsible health tech that can help people, in first instance adults with autism, to manage stress and anxiety by reflecting on personal digital data collected through bespoke devices.<br \/>\n<strong>2<\/strong>. <strong>ROUNDS<\/strong> of quick-fired 5-min reflections about the followings:<br \/>\ni) Urgent thoughts, matters urging to be shared (lessons learned, observations) about the Cam experience<br \/>\nii) Surprising facts<br \/>\niii) Sticky thoughts (any thought that for whatever reason was stuck in our head)<br \/>\n<strong>3. DATA<\/strong>.We then moved to the &#8216;Data Session&#8217; during which we discussed the photos captured at the making station.<br \/>\n<strong>4. NEXT. <\/strong>The Cambridge was designed to inform our next tech kitchen, which is being planned with and for people with autism and their support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROUNDS SUMMARIES<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>i &#8211; &#8216;Urgent&#8217; Thoughts<\/em><br \/>\na) Everybody can make a real contribution to science, knowing this truly motivates people to engage.<br \/>\nb) Children can be easily influenced, and they often take a suggestion as a direction. consisted of 125 photographs snapped at the &#8216;Making station&#8217; with the LG pocket camera. The list below is not exhaustive. The artefacts may not appear with the correct name or label. Some of the most interesting artefacts will be uploaded <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/myclasp\/artefacts\/\" target=\"_blank\">in our collection.<\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>The Feeling Finder<\/em>, developed by the sister of a child who suffers from anxiety. The arrow points where the friend is, and the screen displays the friends mood<\/li>\n<li><em>Triyware<\/em> warns about alcohol, sugar and salt intake<\/li>\n<li><em>Dream Catcher<\/em> only catches good dreams<\/li>\n<li><em>Debugger,<\/em> a spider-like device that catches all insects in the house and escorts them outside alive.<\/li>\n<li><em>Best Bracelet<\/em> records memories when you are most happy and plays them back when you are not<\/li>\n<li><em>Bad Jokes 2000<\/em>, detects bad jokes<\/li>\n<li><em>Attention Grabber<\/em>, instantly grabs your children&#8217;s attention<\/li>\n<li><em>Soft Things<\/em> <em>Detector, <\/em>it does exactly what it says on the tin<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Bug Craft<\/em>, crawls, finds and fetches lost objects around the house<\/li>\n<li><em>Black Dog Watch<\/em>, a two-piece anxiety sensor with acupuncture trigger (photo above)<\/li>\n<li><em>Food Portal<\/em>,\u00a0 turns anything into food &#8211; it uses liquid nitrogen<\/li>\n<li><em>Mind Controlled Swarm<\/em> of external microbots<\/li>\n<li><em>Food Allergy Detector<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Frafrout \/ minibike<\/em> &#8211; further investigation is required on this<\/li>\n<li><em>Bad Dream Stopper<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Penguin0<\/em>, with pre-installed moral code, pecks you when you\u00a0 think, say, or do something inappropriate<\/li>\n<li><em>Time pacer,<\/em> it slows down happy times, and speeds up unhappy ones<\/li>\n<li>X? Device that communicates your feelings without the need for you to verbalise them<\/li>\n<li><em>Material Detector,<\/em> (the materials \u2018Shazam\u2019 )<\/li>\n<li>Y?
