Movement and manual therapy workshops subsidised by the colleges to help relieve stress and tension in mind and body

Join Jo Mason (Professional Massage Therapist working on campus providing wellbeing sessions for students and staff) and Ali Moorhouse (300hr Yoga Alliance Professionals Instructor) in a 2-hour wellbeing workshop that will provide you with a set of tools and techniques to help relieve stress and tension in your mind and body.

Incorporating self-massage techniques and elements from yoga, Pilates, mindful movement and Qi Gong, discover how to physically release tension and stimulate energy flow to inspire a calmer and healthier way of living.

Part of the workshop will require you to work in a pair for a simple (fully clothed!) massage tutorial. You are welcome to book with a friend, be paired with another student on arrival or focus on self-massage – whichever you feel comfortable with.

Please bring along a yoga/exercise mat or contact Ali in advance of the session if you’d like to borrow one.

These sessions are intended to be as affordable as possible for students and so have been subsidised by all nine colleges. The cost to students is just £5, payable in advance. There is limited space available, so please book early to avoid disappointment

This term, all the sessions will take place in the County Common Room, near County Bar
