Come and tell us your ideas, meet the other students and businesses in the community and find out how Work in Progress can support your journey.

Weekly Opportunity To Drop-In And Chat About Your Ideas, Business Or Projects With Our Start-Up Advisor, Richard Baguley.

These sessions are perfect for getting constructive advice and feedback on what you're working on. You'll also find out how to access idea/business support and funding opportunities with the Work in Progress Team.

Why not join our weekly drop-in session to discuss:

  • An idea you're working on
  • Your business and navigating into a new world
  • How to spot entrepreneurial opportunities

However early or advanced your idea Richard provides a listening ear, offering feedback and signposting to the best opportunities for next step to support you and your idea.

Joining Instructions

Our online sessions take place via video calls on Microsoft Teams. This can be accessed via your Internet Browser or by downloading the Microsoft Teams application. Please join our Community Group using the link below and your Lancaster University login. If you do not have a Lancaster University account or would like to use an alternative email address, please let us know via email at workinprogress@lancaster.ac.uk and we'll add you to the group. Join the Work in Progress Members CommunityTo join these sessions, please join the 'Lets Talk Drop-in Sessions' Channel within the Work in Progress Members Community Microsoft Teams Group at the times shown. You will then be able to join the session taking place.

Additional Information

Places on our sessions are limited and in demand – if you book please put a note and a reminder in your diary.

Cancellation: If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please aim to give 24 hours' notice so someone else can benefit from the value and experience of this session for their personal and professional development.

Online Photography: Please note that this session may be captured for the purpose of future marketing, student experience storytelling and PR. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken or appear in any marketing materials please let someone know at the beginning of the session or email us in advance.
