Profile

In partnership with Rolls-Royce Holdings plc (RR), my PhD project aims to improve the optimality of maintenance scheduling procedures by implementing a combinatorial optimisation approach. Current systems in place produce suboptimal schedules which propagate delays and induce huge profit losses, for both the airline and RR. My research is on developing a large-scale algorithm that will solve this problem. My academic supervisors are Burak Boyaci and Konstantinos Zografos and my industrial supervisor is Richard Standing.I graduated from the University of Essex in July 2015 with a BSc in Mathematics. It included modules in both Pure and Applied mathematics and the chance to obtain some valuable experience in teaching. I became increasingly interested in both Statistics and OR due to their ability to shape the world around us, hence my progression to STOR-i.
