I'm deeply interested in what a person's behavior can tell us about why they do what they do. For the past several years, I have been conducting researcon verbal behavior in particular -- not just what a person says, but how they say it. Do words reveal a person's core motives? Can we accurately deduce what a person is thinking based on what they say online, face-to-face, or privately? These are the types of questions that keep me up at night.
Most broadly, I'm interested in virtually any behavior that can tell us about a person's underlying motivations.
