We ensure that our staff can access relevant and appropriate development by supporting teaching and learning enhancement, leadership and management training, researcher development, job and personal effectiveness skills development.
We ensure that staff at all levels and in all disciplines across the University are supported and developed through effective development reviews and career planning.
We work closely with our International Partnerships, developing excellent teaching practice and organisational development across the globe.
If you have not yet joined the University and would like further details about development opportunities at Lancaster please see the OED website.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
The programme offers access to a free, confidential helpline which provides unlimited access to information to help colleagues deal with a range of problems, no matter how big or small, which may affect their personal lives or performance at work.
Staff Recognition Schemes
Certificates and gifts are presented to colleagues at an annual dinner in recognition of either 25 or 40 years' service.
Our staff awards scheme provides an opportunity to recognise excellence in a variety of categories. The awards are presented in a special ceremony at the end of each academic year.
