Information for International Students
Degrees and Diplomas
The department accepts most of the diplomas issued abroad provided that they are comparable to appropriate British degrees. However, all applicants must send an officially certified copy of their diploma and transcripts from every institution of post-secondary study.
English Language Qualifications
If your first language is not English, the University must be satisfied that you have sufficient ability to understand and express yourself in both written and spoken English. Please give details of your English language qualifications on your application form. We normally expect a qualification such as:
- GCE Ordinary level
- JMB Test in English
- recent Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (minimum Grade C)
- IELTS (6.5)
TOEFL will be considered, provided that a score of at least 580 is obtained.
The university offers pre-sessional English language programmes to suit both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
