Richard Robinson

Kendal: Cumbria Record Office MS WDFC/FI/12: Minute book of Kendal Monthly and Quarterly Meetings

Richard Robinson (d. 1673), owner of Brigflatts, near Sedbergh. He is listed as one of the first who were convinced by Fox’s preaching in the area and ‘received him Joyfully into their houses’ in The First Publishers of Truth [page 243]. He should not be confused with the Richard Robinson (1623-93) of Countersett, near Semerwater, Yorkshire, who was imprisoned in Richmond (as detailed in First Publishers of Truth pages 311-14).
