‘Fox’s Pulpit’ and old churchyard, Firbank Fell.

Shows the relationship between the old chapel yard (to left, walled, with trees, and incidental horse) and the rock that is traditionally ‘Fox’s Pulpit’ (to right). The top of the ‘pulpit’ has several rocky outcrops, and a speaker could face both ways. See later image for speculation about the ‘auditorium’ on the other side of the pulpit. In the traditional direction there is nothing for a voice to bounce off.
