Duddon Sands and Black Combe with Marsh Grange in foreground: panorama from the east, tide coming in.

Pan to right.

Two possibilities for crossing the Duddon. Millom is to the extreme left on the far side of the estuary, and one could cross the sands from Ireleth. To the extreme right, the head of the estuary is just concealed behind the bend, with the crossing at Duddon Bridge. Across the sands, the characteristic mass of Black Combe (600m: not quite a Hewitt).
