Pendle Hill from the east, above Wycoller: stormy summer day.

Fox is vague about his actual route to Pendle from ‘Derbyshire’. He does not name places, merely that they came through ‘a market town’ and then were welcomed at ‘a country house’, ‘And soe wee passed on warninge people as wee mett them of the day of the Lorde that was Comeinge vpon them’. The most striking and immediate views of Pendle Hill are those from the eastern approaches. This one is from the road from Haworth, which joins the Keighley/Halifax road.
